This is the first book to reveal the heart of this burgeoning movement and how it has enlarged the tent of God’s work from primarily church centered to kingdom centered. This is a good book and one that I recommend to anyone contemplating a career in either a church or a parachurch ministry. The reason is first, there is close to 100,000 parachurch organizations in the nation. Secondly, many of them can be extensions of the local church accomplishing tasks that the church is not suited for but yet are vital. Crisis Pregnancy Centers are excellent examples of the partnership.
